Pasta frolla

Preparation time 6 minutes


  • 400g all-purpose flour
  • 150g organic extra virgin olive oil
  • 150g brown sugar
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 25g baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • Zest of ½ lemon, grate


In a large bowl place the flour, add the sugar and pour the oil in the middle, start working the oil with sugar and when well mixed add the eggs, lemon zest, salt and baking powder. Work with your hands. When the dough starts coming together, transfer to a work surface, and knead for a few seconds. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1\2 hour.

Tipps: This dough can be used for tea biscuits, marmelade or fruit “crostate” and adding some dark chocholate drops wonderful to prepare delicious shortcakes with children for breackfast.
